In the latest NHS staff survey results, we ranked as the best place to work out of all mental health and learning disability trusts in the North and the sixth best in the country.
The survey measures our colleagues’ experiences of working for us across nine themes, and asks if they would recommend us as a place to work.
Pennine Care is recommended by 72.5 percent of colleagues, which is the highest in the North and sixth overall. This is up from 70 percent last year, with the national average at 65 percent.
We’ve improved on all nine themes from the previous year, ranking top in the North West for compassionate and inclusive, recognised and rewarded, each having a voice that counts, always learning, and working flexibly.
We were best in the country for feeling free to act in your role and use your own initiative, and also feeling able to make suggestions about how to improve things.
It was also our highest response rate ever, with 49 percent of our colleagues (2089) giving their views.
One of our three big ambitions is to be a great place to work. The survey results will help us to keep improving to achieve this.
And importantly, 81 percent of colleagues agree that care of patients is our top priority.
