Some of our medical colleagues had plenty to celebrate at the Royal College of Psychiatrists North West awards last night.
Out of the nine categories, they picked up five. A huge well done to them all:
Psychiatric trainer of the year – Dr Roshelle Ramkisson
“I need to say two very important words, thank you some of you are here and some of you are not. In the world of super hero’s need to say thank you to the trusts, the trainees, and my family, a wonderful thank you”
Consultant of the year - Dr Prathiba Chitsabesan
“I have to say it’s an absolute surprise and a privilege it really is. Thank you to the children and young people I work with, thank you to fantastic colleagues I work with as well, and finally thank you to my family.”
Higher trainee of the year – Dr Syeda Hasan
“Thank you so much to the royal college. I was feeling very alone, without the support of my supervisors I wouldn’t be able to be here. I felt really supported through this journey. Thank you.”
Core Trainee of the Year - Dr Cara Webb
“Thank you very much, it means a lot, and something to show for all the effort I’ve put in”
Foundation Doctor of the Year - Dr Shafaq Sajid
“Really grateful and pleased to be around my team. It has given me an opportunity to learn."
