Cedars Ward
We are an older person's male ward with 10 beds. We provide specialist care to people with a diagnosis of dementia who, due to various reasons, can no longer be supported safely in the community.
We currently have a consultant psychiatrist covering the ward, along with a team of registered mental health nurses and nursing assistants, an occupational therapist, technical instructors and a psychologist. We also work with speech and language, dietitians and physiotherapists from the acute trust.
If you're admitted onto the ward, you'll receive a comprehensive assessment of your mental, physical and social needs.
We work with you, your family and your carers to support you through to discharge and ensure the appropriate services are in place once you're discharged.
We work very closely with social workers, community mental health teams, intensive home treatment service and other third party providers to ensure you have the appropriate follow up care and support.
