It is an employment support service designed to help people with mental health challenges find and stay in paid jobs that match your skills and interests.

In Greater Manchester. Pure Innovations, working alongside PossAbilities and The Growth Company, have already helped hundreds of people take steps toward meaningful employment.

It is designed to support you in achieving your employment goals, whatever they may be. 

  • It’s all about you – help to find a job that suits your skills, interests, and preferences.
  • It’s your choice – there are no requirements about being ‘job-ready.’ If you want to work,  will support you.
  • It works alongside your mental health team – specialists work closely with mental health professionals to provide the right level of support for you.
  • It offers personalised benefits advice – if you’re worried about how work might affect your benefits, they can guide you.
  • It connects you with employers – specialists can introduce you to potential employers who match your career interests.
  • It provides ongoing support – you can receive up to nine months of job-seeking support and an additional three months of support once you start working.
  • It’s completely free – it is voluntary, and you can choose to take part at any time.

If you’re receiving support from a community mental health team and want to work, individual placement and support is here for you. You can be referred by your mental health team or self-refer if you meet the eligibility criteria.
