Join our care responders study
When a young person experiences a mental health crisis and a 999 call is made, first responders from the emergency services try to get to them as quickly as possible to offer support.
To better understand what type of help is most useful for young people and families, we would like to hear from you if you have accessed support from first responders to your home.
The care responders study is now inviting participants to take part and tell your stories. You can take part in the care responders study if you are:
- A young person aged 5-18 years old, who has received support from a first responder for a mental health crisis over the last two years, and your parent or caregiver says it’s okay for you to take part.
- A parent or caregiver of a young person, aged 5-18 years old, who has received support from a first responder for a mental health crisis over the last two years.
- A first responder with experience of supporting children, young people, and their families through a mental health crisis.
Through hearing stories of experience, we want to better understand how to develop crisis mental health services to offer the best possible care when it is needed most.
