Oldham Adult Learning Disability Service

We can support you if you have a learning disability and are registered with an Oldham GP.

We deliver high quality, health-focused support to enable you to develop, maintain or restore a valued life in the community.

We follow the key principles of inclusion, rights, choice and independence.

Our core aim is to provide you with a highly specialist assessment and intervention plan which meets your needs. This will focus on health risks, behaviour, communication and psychological needs.

Our team is made up of learning disability nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and psychologists, who all work together.

We work in partnership with other agencies and families to achieve positive outcomes for you in the home, community and other relevant settings.

We accept referrals from service users, carers, social workers, GP's and other health professionals. All referrals will go through a screening process for eligibility to access the service.
