We offer specialist assessment, intervention and treatments for older adults with complex mental health needs, and young adults with dementia.
Treatment and support
We focus on recovery through sessions which help you to maintain your wellbeing, while remaining at home and in the community.
We also support you during episodes of acute mental health crisis, to manage risks with the wider mental health team involved in your care. This can be part of a home treatment package to reduce the need for hospital admission.
If you're admitted to an acute ward, we can offer you an assessment and treatment which will support your discharge plan.
We work very closely with the memory service and offer support and education for both you and your carer. This includes specialist sessions such as cognitive stimulation therapy, memory information and assessement of your functional skills for everyday activities.
Who is in our team
Our team has a range of very skilled staff, including registered mental health nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists and support workers, all of which are trained in different therapies and assessment skills.
Where to find us
We are based on the Tameside General Hospital site, but can offer outreach support where needed.
