To keep our online spaces safe, respectful and helpful for everyone, we ask that you follow these house rules.

We may hide, delete or report comments that breach these social media rules. Those who breach them repeatedly may be blocked. 

We will not tolerate any forms of abuse or discrimination, and these comments will be reported. 

What you can expect from us: 

  • We’ll respond in a timely and respectful manner - our accounts are monitored Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (excluding bank holidays). 

  • If we can’t help directly, we’ll signpost you to the right service or contact where possible. 

  • Information that is informal and easy to understand. 

What we expect from you: 

  • Don’t share personal or confidential information—yours or anyone else’s. 

  • Keep comments fair, constructive and relevant to the topic or post. If you have a comment or complaint about something else, please message us privately or contact our PALS and complaints team.  

  • Don’t post spam, abusive, misleading, inappropriate or unlawful content. 

  • Don’t discriminate, swear or use foul language. 

  • Respect other people who have commented on posts too. 

What we can do: 

  • Share relevant and helpful content linked to mental health, learning disabilities and autism - and the boroughs we cover. 

  • Promote your experiences, where helpful for others accessing services or reducing stigma.  

  • Signpost or provide contact details for our teams and services. 

What we can’t do: 

  • Provide urgent medical advice. 

  • Answer questions specific to your care or someone else’s. 

  • Resolve complaints directly via social media. 

  • Promote paid-for or private services. 

  • Promote charities or fundraisers not linked to Pennine Care NHS or Pennine Care Charity.
